Armaan Verma

Junior Researcher

Armaan is a Research Assistant at Bodhi with demonstrated experience in researching both conflict and peacebuilding and gender and child protection issues. He has worked on research and evaluation projects for a range of organisations including UNFPA, the World Bank, Save the Children, Saferworld, and the Danish Refugee Council. Prior to joining Bodhi, Armaan conducted situation analyses and developed evidence-based programming in Afghanistan for War Child UK. He is skilled in primary data collection methods, including interviews and focus group discussions, conducting gender analyses with a focus on gender-based violence and child protection, as well as conflict analyses of fragile and conflict-affected settings. He possesses proven experience in conducting baseline and midline evaluations of multi-year humanitarian programmes for organisations like IPIS and Search for Common Ground. He holds an MSc in Politics of Conflict, Rights and Justice from SOAS, University of London, specialising in the international politics of military intervention. He is interested in the intersection between climate and conflict prevention, gender-based programming, and the impacts of conflict and climate on migration and displacement.
