Joint Gender Security Needs Assessment and Gender Analysis of Security Sector in South Sudan

Bodhi conducted a comprehensive needs assessment and gender analysis in South Sudan for UN Women's contribution to the Peace Building Fund - Security Sector Reform initiative. We implemented extensive qualitative and quantitative primary research to understand the security needs, concerns, and priorities for girls, women, boys, and men. The team also analysed current security sector laws, policies, and processes to assess their gender responsiveness. This project informed the creation of a National Action Plan on Gender and Security Sector Reform, aiming to enhance gender-responsive security practices in South Sudan.
