Bodhi developed a Women’s Empowerment in Agriculture Index (WEAI) for Somalia with the World Food Programme (WFP). The study assessed women’s empowerment across decision-making, access to resources, income control, leadership, and time use. By using a gender-sensitive mixed-methods approach, the findings informed WFP’s Climate-smart Food Systems Strategy, supporting the design of gender-transformative programmes to enhance resilience and equity in Somalia’s agriculture sector.
