Ireland Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
Bodhi is conducting the final evaluation of Ireland's Mission Strategy for the Embassy of Ireland in Dar es Salaam (2022-2026) for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Strategy covers Ireland's engagement with Tanzania and five secondary accreditations: Burundi, Comoros, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Seychelles, and the East African Community. The primary goal of the strategy is to advance Ireland’s values and interests through support for peace, prosperity and equality, with a specific focus on women and girls in Tanzania. To support this, the objective of the evaluation is to provide an independent, evidence-based assessment of the Mission’s strategic priorities and activities during the 2022-2026 period. The evaluation will serve as a critical bridge to inform the analysis and drafting of the successor Mission Strategy, which is expected to be finalised by the end of 2026. Drawn from the OECD-DAC criteria, the evaluation will focus on Relevance, Effectiveness and Sustainability and analyse the seven Outcome Areas that the Mission Strategy was implemented under.
