DOT Rwanda Gender Analysis

Digital Opportunity Trust

Bodhi Global Analysis was commissioned by Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) to undertake a Gender Analysis Study to inform the implementation of the DSE Program. The purpose of this gender analysis is to provide the DSE Consortium with an extensive understanding of the gendered context in Rwanda in alignment with the objectives of the program. This analysis will influence the program design in the context of each partner and ensure the integration of a gender-lens in the program’s implementation through the DSE Gender Strategy. Bodhi adopted a gender-responsive, disability-inclusive, and participatory approach to this study. To meet the objectives, Bodhi utilised the socio-ecological framework for gender analysis. Using a mixed-methods approach, information was gathered from primary and secondary data sources. Primary data collection consisted of FGDs and KIIs and an in-person Gender Responsive Programming and Strategy Workshop with the DSE Consortium. Secondary data, from a comprehensive program document review was also used to compliment the primary data.
