Environment, conflict and peace in South Sudan: Implications for conflict sensitive aid

Saferworld

Bodhi is conducting a meta-analysis to outline how the environment interacts with peace and conflict dynamics in South Sudan, identifying implications for the aid sector and conflict-sensitive international engagement. This analysis draws on diverse insights from the aid sector, technical specialists (environmentalists, conservationists, natural resource managers), and contextual experts (communities, academics, civil society, local authority/government officials). Bodhi adopts a gender-sensitive and intersectional approach, exploring the role of gender norms and roles as an intervening variable in the relationship between the environment and peace/conflict in South Sudan.
