Summative Evaluation of the Ethiopia Programme (2017-2020/21)

Life and Peace Institute

Bodhi conducted a summative evaluation of the Ethiopia programme (2017-2020/21) using a utilisation-focused approach. The evaluation assessed performance, relevance, and impact while generating recommendations for programme follow-up. We focused on in-depth analysis of the CLSA project and other programme strategies and adaptations in the changing context. Our multi-faceted approach was tailored to the programme's multiple components and activities, structured around the OECD-DAC criteria. The evaluation employed a multi-phased methodology including desk review, qualitative primary data collection, and secondary analysis. We ensured robust and reliable findings through data triangulation from multiple sources. This comprehensive evaluation provided insights into the programme's effectiveness in Ethiopia and offered recommendations for future programming in the complex Ethiopian context.
