Bodhi conducted a study to map, assess, and document the British Council's programmatic contributions, experience, and capability in the conflict-affected contexts of Ethiopia, Sudan, Uganda, and Nigeria. The assessment aimed to identify strategic opportunities to maximise and deepen the British Council's contribution to peace outcomes in these four target countries and other fragile and conflict-affected contexts. Bodhi adopted a theory-based approach, mapped the British Council's interventions and developed a series of Theories of Change to outline the pathways through which those interventions could potentially contribute to peacebuilding. It primary relied on qualitative research methods, including the collection of secondary data through a desk-based review and primary data through remote and in-person semi-structured key informant interviews and focus group discussions.
