Study on environment, conflict and gender

Welthungerhilfe

Bodhi conducted an in-depth analysis of gender and conflict dynamics in rural communities in Central African Republic to support Welthungerhilfe in planning project activities and to enable it to adapt all aspects of project implementation to the context in order to ensure gender and conflict-sensitive project management The study focused on the particular challenges faced by women and men to inform the design of inclusive and gender-sensitive interventions for sustainable peace, gender equality and rural development. In order to ensure the meaningful participation of rural communities in the research process, the study was carried out using the Participatory Rural Appraisal approach which allowed the consideration of community perspectives not only in the analysis of conflicts and gender challenges, but also in the development of recommendations.
